About The Position

The Student Activities Marketing Staff is responsible for designing marketing and promotional materials, promoting Student Activities at various events, and assisting in marketing strategies. This staff is also responsible for shooting and editing photo and video for promotion, department needs, and social media.

Requirements

  • Must be a current Liberty University student
  • Able to work up to 18 hours per week
  • Available to work a variety of different shifts (weekends, early morning, afternoon, late night)
  • Experience and strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Ability to work within a brand and respond positively to constructive criticism

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Office programs
  • Event planning or management
  • Experience with DSLR cameras
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills
  • Regularly lift 50 or fewer pounds

Responsibilities

  • Design, photograph, and film marketing and promotional material of department events for print and digital materials.
  • Promote Student Activities programs and events through social media, giveaway items, promotional slides and tables, etc.
  • Responsible for taking photo and video during Student Activities events including, but not limited to: Movie Nights, concerts, Block Party, Coffeehouse, art expos and more.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans, concepts, and strategies.
  • Responsible to assist with maintenance of Student Activities marketing equipment.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Student Activities to receive the vision and assignments for Student Activities marketing and branding projects.
  • Assist in the maintenance and adherence of policies and procedures during events at Student Activities Events, ensuring compliance with University policies.
  • Attend all required Student Activities trainings and meetings.
  • Regularly assist with events and operations during evening, nights or weekend hours.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by the Assistant Director of Student Activities.
  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
