WSU Tri Cities GEAR UP program is seeking a Student Achievement Specialist (SAS) at Evergreen High School in Vancouver, WA. This role involves providing student mentoring, monitoring, and collecting student data for assessment and reporting. The SAS will be responsible for enhancing GEAR UP students' engagement in education, promoting positive academic behaviors, strengthening family connection to school-based information, and supporting post-secondary access for students and families. Key duties include family outreach and education on college readiness, student and academic support services, student advising, assessing participant needs, and creating individual action plans. The specialist will collaborate with school personnel and community partners and participate in after-school, evening, and weekend activities. The GEAR UP Program is federally funded to increase the number of low-income and underrepresented students who graduate high school and successfully complete post-secondary education. This is a full-time (100% FTE), temporary, overtime-eligible, on-site/in-person position located in Vancouver, WA. The temporary end date is expected to be December 18, 2026, with renewal dependent on funding and need for extension.
