About The Position

This position is for Summer 2026 (May - August) Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs, which may require some overtime. $30.00 As an accounting intern within our accounting department, you will be based in Rochester, NY. The Accounting team is non-member facing and provides support across ESL and its subsidiaries. The accounting intern will work and network amongst other accounting & finance professionals at various levels of the organization. Specific duties will evolve around: Developing an understanding of the Credit Union's business model and core functions. Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with Policies and Procedures. Shadowing all roles within the accounting department on a rotational basis. Analyzing and organizing raw data to identify trends and insights to share with management. Other duties as assigned. We're committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Requirements

  • Currently an undergraduate student in your junior or senior year.
  • Accounting, Finance, or related Business major.
  • Expected to graduate between December 2026-May 2027.
  • Cumulative GPA is 3.25 or above.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and courage.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to develop solutions to modestly complex challenges.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship.
