About The Position

The Training Specialist at Leidos is responsible for developing, instructing, and supporting New Equipment Training (NET) for various tactical network systems, including satellite communication (SATCOM) equipment and related technologies. This role involves creating training packages, conducting classroom and field training, and ensuring that training materials are up-to-date and effective. The position requires significant travel to support training needs and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years of experience or equivalent Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in lieu of degree and 4 years of hands-on experience with related tactical network systems.
  • Active DoD secret security clearance.
  • Technical understanding and experience with tactical network systems.
  • Fundamental understanding of SATCOM, LOS, and Wi-Fi systems.
  • LAN and WAN networking experience (Net+, Sec+, CCNA preferred).
  • U.S. Passport required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TRADOC regulations and training development processes.
  • Familiarity with various training methodologies and instructional design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct New Equipment Training (NET) analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, delivery, and maintenance of training packages.
  • Operate, install, configure, troubleshoot, and perform field level maintenance on tactical network equipment.
  • Utilize technical manuals and original equipment manufacturer materials to develop training material.
  • Review and update training materials quarterly to align with software changes.
  • Travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations to support New Equipment Fielding (NEF) Training.
  • Install software and verify component connections and operations for tactical network systems.
  • Repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance checks on tactical network systems.
  • Conduct After Action Reviews (AAR) to gather feedback on training courses.
  • Prepare and provide daily reports, student rosters, and AARs to the Training Manager.
  • Coordinate with Government customers to maintain training plans for current and future systems.
  • Provide classroom instruction and field training on tactical network systems.
  • Develop various training documentation including lesson plans and assessments.
  • Interface with Government Training Manager and serve as the subject matter expert for training development.
  • Conduct internal validations and external verifications of NET documentation.
