Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or technical certification preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of directly related vehicle maintenance experience
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. person
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing power-pack systems (engine, transmission, etc.)
  • Understanding of turret systems, LRUs, and related acronyms
  • Ability to identify parts through IETMs, schematics, and configuration cross-referencing
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and computer diagnostics
  • Ability to meet ASR (Army Safety Requirements)
  • Must be able to gain and maintain access to military facilities
  • Must be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required
  • Work in both improved and field maintenance environments
  • Adjust to fluctuating customer work schedules
  • Applicants selected for employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation which may include education, criminal and work history verifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) products, military terminology, and standards preferred
  • Documented trade school, certified technical training, or equivalent commercial training

Responsibilities

  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair of faults, failures, and deficiencies across Stryker vehicle platforms
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all Stryker variants
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in automotive systems such as engine, transmission, cooling, fuel, exhaust, driveline, and suspension
  • Use Built-In Test Equipment (BITE), manual troubleshooting procedures (MTPs), and technical documentation for fault isolation and diagnostics
  • Perform component-level repair and replacement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using appropriate tools and manuals
  • Diagnose and correct issues in hydraulic systems, both common and variant-specific
  • Utilize Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), schematics, and flow diagrams to identify and resolve issues
  • Complete maintenance and administrative documentation related to work performed
  • Operate computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and diagnostics
  • Maintain inventory and accountability of special tools, test equipment, and property
