Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together YOUR MISSION As a Structures Technician, you will help build our next generation of spacecraft and space systems. In this role, you will be instrumental in hands-on fabrication, assembly, and integration of advanced aerospace structures. You will also play a vital part in the setup of our new manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality are met as we scale up our operations.

Requirements

  • Tech degree or certification in relevant field
  • Years of experience in spacecraft or space products assembly in line with technician level
  • Demonstrated excellence in structural and mechanical assembly and integration
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematics, process sheets, and work instructions
  • Experience with electrostatic discharge sensitive, foreign object and debris critical, and cleanroom operations
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 25lbs and work in and around constrained and confined spaces

  • Machining and component manufacturing experience
  • Operating industrial and other large machinery
  • Experience with crane and other lift operations and rigging

Responsibilities

  • Assembly: Build, assemble, fit, and install precision structural and mechanical components for spacecraft and space systems, working from engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Integration: Collaborate closely with engineering teams from design and manufacturing across all subsystems, including fluids and propulsion, avionics, mechanical and structural, test, and quality teams to integrate mechanical structures into space vehicles.
  • Drilling and Tolerances: Perform precision drilling operations to specified tolerances using appropriate tools and techniques. Ensure proper hole alignment, cleanliness, and dimensional accuracy. Conduct countersinking, reaming, and riveting as required to meet NAS standards.
  • Fastening and Joining: Install rivets, bolts, hand fasteners, and other structural fasteners with precision, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and finish. Verify correct torque specifications and fastening procedures according to aerospace standards
