About The Position

L3Harris is seeking to fill an Intern - Structures & Dynamics Engineering role for Summer 2026 in its Los Angeles, CA Space Headquarters. Summer internships will start in approximately May/June and end in August/September. Projects will focus on areas of structural dynamics analysis within the Structures & Dynamics (S&D) discipline. Tasks will vary but may include setup and operation of various finite element based analysis simulations to determine the loads and deflections of liquid rocket engine propulsion systems and components and analysis of measured test data from operation, all under the supervision of senior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or similar program).
• Returning to school upon completion of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operation of various finite element based analysis simulations.
• Determine the loads and deflections of liquid rocket engine propulsion systems and components.
• Analyze measured test data from operation under the supervision of senior engineering staff.
