This position is responsible for engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments. This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with alternative studies
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to complete a task
• Perform structural analysis and design computations
• Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
• Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate
• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
• Perform CADD modeling and drafting in the development of construction plans, as needed
• Field inspection and assessment of bridges and other highway appurtenances
