We have an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate to join a senior staff engaged in development and production activities related to new and existing propulsion technologies. This position of Structures and Dynamics Intern will be located in our West Palm Beach, FL facility. This facility works a 9/80 work schedule. Our West Palm Beach, FL facility is home to the family of RL10 Upper-Stage Rocket Engines that have propelled missions to every planet in the solar system! This site is also the Hypersonics center of excellence which built the scramjet engine that powered the record-setting X-51A Waverider.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural analysis assignments under close supervision.
• Perform structural analyses utilizing classic hand calculation methods and finite element models developed using ANSYS.
• Conduct static and dynamic structural analyses.
• Correlate analysis models and test results.
• Provide input on the products' ability to satisfy internal structural requirements, as well as those flowed by the customer.
• Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews.
• Assist in preparing technical reports documenting all analysis activities.
