About The Position

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is hiring a Vice President in the Collateral Management Group within the Securitized Products and Capital Solutions (SPCS) Department. The collateral requiring analysis, grading, and coverage supports lending to asset manager customers.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge of Project Finance is essential.
• 5-7 years of comparable or relevant experience.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Project Finance market and trends.
• Middle Market leveraged lending credit experience is a plus.
• Highly collaborative and flexible in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and Capital IQ.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary credit analysis and coverage of Project Finance collateral in the portfolio.
• Provide additional coverage of middle-market loans as needed.
• Prepare new credit requests including fundamental analysis of the company and industry, financial analysis and projections.
• Manage upsize requests and prepare analysis for reevaluation events as needed.
• Serve as the primary point person in the dialogue with counterparts at accounts assigned for collateral coverage.
• Review the work of junior team members.
• Review collateral loan portfolio reports to monitor and address the performance of assigned portfolios.
