About The Position

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced professional to join our Private Equity and Structured Credit Valuation team, with a primary focus on CMBS and CLO instruments. This is a critical, high-impact role requiring close collaboration with the investment, risk, and operations teams to ensure accurate, timely, and independent valuation of structured credit assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structured credit valuation or product control, with a focus on CMBS and CLO instruments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex valuation issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP valuation standards and audit requirements.
  • Strong understanding of securitization structures, waterfall modeling, credit enhancement mechanisms, and tranche-level cash flow analysis.
  • Proficiency in Intex, Bloomberg, Excel (advanced), and VBA; experience with SQL or Python is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with pricing services such as ICE, Markit, and BVAL is a strong advantage.

  • A Master’s degree or CFA designation (or progress toward it) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly and ad-hoc valuations for a diverse portfolio of structured credit instruments, including (but not limited to) commercial mortgage loans, CMBS, CLO equity, SRT, and private credit positions.
  • Coordinate with third-party pricing vendors, administrators, and internal teams to source and reconcile valuation inputs.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance valuation models using tools such as Intex, Bloomberg, Excel, and proprietary systems.
  • Implement and evaluate valuation methodologies in alignment with ASC 820 (Fair Value) accounting standards.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies between internal models and vendor or market prices, providing well-supported recommendations to valuation committees.
  • Monitor market trends, deal performance, and collateral fundamentals to assess potential impacts on pricing assumptions.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to test and implement pricing and valuation tools.
  • Prepare and support audit and regulatory documentation related to valuation practices and price verification processes.
  • Work closely with the investment team on daily and month-end pricing activities.
