The Structured Cabling Project Manager oversees moderately-to-highly complex projects from beginning to end, including approval, planning, estimating, execution, and closeout to ensure timely results are achieved. On any given workday, you may perform any or all of these important tasks: You supervise and assist with the design, installation, maintenance, documentation of large and small structured cabling projects. You develop plans to ensure each project stays within budgets, timelines, and tracks critical project achievements. You attend meetings and proposes solutions to installation issues. Manage installation, technical and sub-contract employees. You handle project scheduling and customer communications. We’ll help you build a top tier team to report to you (eventually) and we’ll provide you with resources to maintains appropriate customer service relationships. You train technicians in the field and act as the point of contact for project statuses. You coordinate with other work streams, teams, and departments and you delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. You handle all invoicing for your projects, and you regularly conduct project team meetings. We want you to make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision, and you’ll coordinate and manages project turnover.

Requirements

  • Work full-time, be local to Dallas, TX, and able to commute to and from our office.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of cabling, installation, and IT field experience.
  • 2 years of Project Management and team management experience.
  • Capability of reading blueprints and building information.
  • Deep understanding of business objectives.
  • Ability to self-direct, self-manage, and self-motivate.
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers and satisfy customer requests.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver who has demonstrated a track record of delivering projects within time and budget with the right quality for clients.
  • Leader who can align, direct, motivate and grow teams and clients.
