About The Position
Help protect one of Florida's most vital resources - water - with a career at the Southwest Florida Water Management District (District). The District is a government agency whose mission is to protect water resources, minimize flood risks, and ensure the public's water needs are met. We serve a population of nearly 6 million people in west-central Florida as directed by state law. Support the District's Operations Bureau in this challenging and rewarding position. As a Structure Electrician, you will utilize your broad understanding of electrical code regulations and a variety of tools and equipment to maintain the operational readiness of the District's water control structures. The Structure Electrician will inspect, repair, and maintain generators, fixtures, machinery, and automated equipment on the District's structure control systems. This position will utilize their highly skilled journeyman's electrician certification in conjunction with District structure schematics and procedures for troubleshooting and installations.
