About The Position

The Structural Welder position involves fabricating and welding structural steel and stainless steel components for a manufacturing and fabrication company. The role requires proficiency in various welding processes and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and symbols. This is a temp-to-hire position with a focus on quality and safety in the workplace.

Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
• 2-5 years industrial experience as a welder
• Proficient with using Stick, MIG, Flux Core, and TIG welding processes
• Must pass weld test at time of interview
• Required to have a full set of personal tools

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel and stainless steel parts
• Work with shapes, plate, and other metal parts
• Read and interpret basic drawings and welding symbols
• Cut and grind parts using hand and power tools such as a grinder, hand file, torch, plasma cutting, and arc welding equipment
• Inspect work to identify problems and initiate corrective actions
• Assist supervisor to maintain control of equipment and maintenance
