About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Welders for projects located in Hartford, CT . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $28-35/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience
• Must be able to pass a coupon welding test
• OSHA 10 Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform structural steel welding using FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications
• Weld, fabricate, and assemble beams, columns, trusses, bracing, frames, and steel components to project requirements
• Set up welding machines, select appropriate consumables, and verify correct parameters for materials and positions
• Conduct fit-up and layout work, including measuring, cutting, beveling, and preparing steel
• Ensure all welds meet AWS D1.1 structural welding standards and company quality benchmarks
• Perform routine weld inspections, visual checks, and rework when required
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all shop safety protocols and procedures
• Operate basic shop equipment such as grinders, oxy-fuel torches, plasma cutters, and overhead cranes
