About The Position
As a Structural Welder, you will be responsible for welding and assembling structural steel components that are essential to the production process. You will read and interpret blueprints, utilize various welding techniques, and ensure all welds meet quality, safety, and industry standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of welding experience with various welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Proficiency with welding processes and techniques
- Experience completing inspection reports and documentation
- Successful completion of internal welding test
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards
Responsibilities
- Perform welding using assigned techniques to meet production and quality standards
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
- Select and apply appropriate wire and filler materials for various steel alloys
- Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Use conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Complete inspections, certifications, and required documentation
- Perform basic maintenance and inspection of welding equipment
- Conduct finish grinding using manual and power tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
- Support production needs and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
