About The Position

Structural Welders are required to be safety minded, highly productive individuals who can cut, fit, tack weld, finish weld, and read blueprints for all structural steel parts and sub-assemblies.

Requirements

Must be a highly safety-oriented individual
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shop fabrication and welding structural steel parts and sub-assemblies
Extensive knowledge of welding with GMAW & FCAW thermal processes in the manufacturing of various types of structure
Ability to pass a weld qualification for each process
Ability to read and understand drawings, prints and dimensions
Ability to individually fit, tack, weld and assemble all structural parts per given prints
Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR
Ability to be a self-motivated and highly productive employee who requires minimal supervision and who can efficiently execute a plan to make jobs happen on time within the estimated hours given
Ability to be a team player who can work well with others to achieve company goals
Ability to recognize and rectify sub-standard welds to ensure product quality
Ability to be punctual and dependent with a willingness to work hours outside of a standard schedule when required to achieve a task or complete a project
Must be willing to step outside of welding role when a company need arises and perform basic tasks such as assembly, grinding, sanding, and shop clean up
Ability to be a team player and be a company-oriented individual who takes pride in their work
