About The Position
Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a premier staffing firm, is seeking a Structural Welder for a client in Phoenix, AZ. The client is a structural steel erection company offering services including structural steel fabrication, machinery and plant moving, trucking and rigging, and industrial piping.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in MIG, FCAW, SMAW, and structural welding.
- Current welding certification: AWS/Certified Weld Inspector preferred.
- Working knowledge of welding methods, procedures, and quality control.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in metal fabrication and welding using steel metals.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, climb, and carry objects with ease.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Current welding certification: AWS/Certified Weld Inspector preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment, forklifts, plasma programming, and other machinery.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment and maintain the yard area.
- Assist in meeting production objectives.
- Maintain shop tools and machinery.
- Collaborate with the shop foreman to complete assigned work.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
