About The Position

The Structural Steel Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing structural steel projects from the award phase through to completion. This position is with an AISC Fabricator located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which is known for its commitment to quality and adherence to AISC standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the steel industry, particularly with commercial construction projects, and will be responsible for ensuring that all project timelines and budgets are met. In this role, the Project Manager will develop and manage project timelines, coordinating closely with various stakeholders including purchasing teams, shop superintendents, detailers, vendors, subcontractors, shipping, and erectors. The Project Manager will also be responsible for reviewing all architectural and structural drawings to verify the project scope, ensuring that all details are checked prior to release to the shop, and verifying the erection plan before it is sent to the field. Additionally, the Project Manager will create and manage all Requests for Information (RFIs) and Change Orders, collaborating with the estimating team to ensure that all changes are priced and submitted promptly. Regular attendance at project meetings and site visits will be required to keep upper management informed about project progress and any issues that may arise. This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, along with various benefits that support both professional and personal growth.
