About The Position

Structural Steel Estimator Steel Service is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: - Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to develop accurate cost estimates for structural steel components. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints. - Prepare detailed bid proposals, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. - Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. - Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes and new information. - Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules. - Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Structural Steel Estimator or similar role within the construction industry. - Strong knowledge of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection processes. - Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. - Bachelor’s or associate degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred. Requirements

Proven experience as a Structural Steel Estimator or similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection processes.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Bachelor’s Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Construction Management or Related Field. Experience may be considered.
2 plus years of experience in Related Field preferred.
Experienced in Microsoft office suite and AutoCAD.
Past experience with either Steel 2000 or FabSuite estimating software preferred.
