Who We Are Since 1985, Kinsley Steel has been delivering unmatched quality steel on time and on budget. Our certified and highly skilled teams specialize in structural steel design, engineering, detailing, fabrication, erection and retrofit to existing structural members. Your Role as a Structural Steel Detailer Collaborate with the project manager, checker, and any other team members to create shop and erection drawings by interpreting design documents from the structural engineer and architect. Utilize Tekla software to quickly and efficiently create 3D models and shop/erection drawings to be used by the steel fabricator and steel erector in the field. Read and interpret drawings, specs and other instructions to create accurate and constructible drawings. Perform detailed dimensional and bill of material checks. Inspect design for interferences and constructability. Perform basic and complex layouts using Tekla Structures. Provide detailing solutions to address various field fixes as they may arise throughout the fabrication and installation of the steel members. Assist the team with any drawing support required to complete the drawing approval, fabrication, or erection process to ensure excellence. Generate RFI's as required to solve design questions and/or conflicts. Review of RFI's, addendums and new drawings to incorporate any changes into the design and drawings. Maintain record of changes for purposes of submitting change orders. This is an onsite position based in our York, PA office and is not a remote position.
