The Structural Project Engineer at IMEG Corp is responsible for the analysis and design of structural systems, ensuring project completeness and accuracy within budget and time constraints. This role involves leading design efforts, interacting with clients, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions. The position emphasizes innovation, quality control, and adherence to safety standards while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented work environment.

  • Lead efforts for the analysis and design of structural systems using various building materials.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks.
  • Document design decisions and monitor project design progress related to percent complete and fee expended.
  • Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and consultants.
  • Provide in-process design reviews of structural system design, calculations, and specifications.
  • Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure engineering designs meet standards and client requirements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and contribute to research and innovation efforts within IMEG.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
  • Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager.
  • Oversee projects through bidding, design, and construction administration phases.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the building design consulting industry, with 4 years preferred.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in mechanics and materials, load paths, and design standards for structural systems.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard engineering software and tools, including structural engineering design and analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written forms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of BIM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Master's Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferred.
