The Structural Mechanic III position is located in Tulsa and involves performing a variety of structural assembly operations in a team-oriented work environment with little to no supervision. The role requires the use of tools and adherence to prints, specifications, and operational requirements to complete work assignments while ensuring conformance to specifications. The work performed must meet company design specifications and quality standards, and the completed work should meet customer expectations. The position may also involve assisting and instructing other team members.

  • Safely perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations.
  • Ensure parts/assembly meet requirements.
  • Safely perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment, or fabricated items on aircraft.
  • Rivet structural members, assemblies, and parts using all required tools.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations.
  • Check all work and ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Instruct and assist other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders.
  • Maintain and use all logs and records.
  • Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  • Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), and Production Change Orders (PCO).
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.
  • Ensure accurate daily job charging to the aircraft.
  • Exchange job-related information and coordinate work activities between shifts.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4 years related structural assembly experience.
  • Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
  • Q-stamp preferred.
  • Basic computer and basic shop math skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic documents and instructions.
  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stands, stairs, and work in small spaces or restricted areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
