About The Position

ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Structural Heart Disease Program within the Heart & Vascular Service Line. The Advanced Practice Clinician in this role will provide comprehensive medical management and care coordination for patients with structural heart disease across both the inpatient and ambulatory settings. This position offers a unique opportunity to partner with a highly specialized multidisciplinary team, including interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, imaging specialists, and nurses, to guide patients through evaluation, advanced cardiac procedures, and ongoing follow-up care. Responsibilities include the medical management of patients undergoing structural heart evaluation and intervention such as TAVR, Mitral TEER, tricuspid valve therapies, Left Atrial Appendage Occlusions and PFO/ASD closures. The APC will coordinate care across hospital, clinic, and procedural settings to ensure seamless transitions, while also engaging patients and families in education and shared decision-making. In addition to direct patient care, the APC will contribute to program growth, quality initiatives, and advancing the team's efforts to remain at the forefront of innovation in structural heart disease therapies. Requirements

  • Completion of a master's degree as an Acute Care Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner or completion of a Physician Assistant program and board certification as a physician assistant.
  • License or license eligible in the State of Delaware.
  • ACLS required.
  • DEA & Prescriptive authority required.
  • Prefer at least 2-3 years of experience working in an acute care setting; previous experience in cardiology and structural heart disease highly desired.
