About The Position

You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and will work under the direction of a licensed engineer. Projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, sports, corporate commercial and science and technology. Click here to learn more about our Engineering practice HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO Work closely with an experienced structural engineer to develop new or analyze existing structural systems for institutional, sports, and corporate/commercial buildings. Perform design calculations under direct supervision of an experienced engineer. Use relevant engineering software to design and document structural systems. Use Autodesk Revit to develop BIM models for producing Contract Documents. Assist in production of Contract Documents to include foundation plans, floor framing plans, roof plans, sections, details, and specifications. Interface effectively with members of the design team to coordinate structural systems with overall building design. Assist in review of shop drawings during construction phase. May perform field observations during construction phase, including a physical walk through of site. Must be willing to perform overtime work. May perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Master in Civil Engineering with Structural focus, Master in Structural Engineering or Master of Architectural Engineering (Structural emphasis) from an ABET accredited program is required by hire date.
  • Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, RAM, RISA) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Related student internship work experience preferred.
  • EIT, LEED accreditation preferred.
