About The Position

As a Project Manager at Walker, you will work on projects including managing various design projects from initial concept through construction completion. You will manage the financial and schedule elements of the project, coordinate with Owners, Architects, Contractors, and Consultants to achieve project goals, and communicate effectively with clients to understand their objectives, provide technical guidance, and ensure high satisfaction levels. Additionally, you will contribute to business development and marketing activities, including developing client relationships, writing proposals, responding to requests, and participating in interviews. You will also mentor, guide, and provide technical support to junior engineers and designers, fostering professional development, while maintaining strong relationships in the industry and with our clients. Participation in networking activities and representing our firm at industry meetings and conferences is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's degree preferred) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
  • 1+ years of experience managing projects (schedule, budget, client relationships, deliverables).
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering design.
  • A Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) is required.
  • Strong communication and team skills are necessary.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
