About The Position

The Structural Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing engineering projects, managing teams of engineers and CAD Technicians, and ensuring that client objectives are met. This role involves maintaining strong client relationships, participating in business development, and ensuring project quality and compliance with company standards. The manager will also mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to their professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• PE License required.
• Minimum technical skill set of Project Engineer II.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and company-owned software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the work of engineers and CAD Technicians.
• Analyze project scope and organize work accordingly.
• Participate in preparing project proposals.
• Monitor project tasks to maintain budget, schedule, and scope of work.
• Communicate project status with team members and clients, implementing changes as necessary.
• Execute the company's QA and QC program, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Motivate team members and maintain employee morale.
• Assist in the education and development of less experienced engineers.
• Prepare and give employee performance evaluations.
• Supervise client relationship strategies and participate in client meetings.
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
