About The Position

ADTEK Engineers, Inc. is looking for structural interns for our locations in Charlottesville, VA, Fairfax, VA, and Frederick, MD. As a Structural Engineer Intern in our Fairfax and Frederick locations, you will participate in projects by assisting in basic base-building structural engineering design, supervised by professional licensed engineers. This position could have exposure to various commercial, government, and multi-family residential projects. Structural Interns in our Charlottesville location will gain experience in cold-formed steel design in a variety of projects.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior enrolled in an ABET accredited undergraduate civil engineering program.
• Consistently available for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic base-building structural engineering design.
• Participate in various projects under the supervision of licensed engineers.
• Gain experience in cold-formed steel design (specific to Charlottesville location).
