About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineering Intern to support the AECOM Transportation, Structures Department (Bridges and Walls) in our Conshohocken, PA office. AECOM is searching for candidates who can be a role model, client-focused, impactful, and decisive. Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree program in Civil or Structural Engineering with the intent to continue enrollment after the internship and must have completed at least 3 years of study.
  • Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
  • Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time and deadlines, keep track of steps, and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, InRoads, & OpenRoads)

Responsibilities

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
  • Interns perform assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation, and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures.
  • Enthusiastic individuals eager to face new challenges and take on personal responsibilities are best qualified to meet the demands of this work.
  • An intern is expected to be able to apply technical training to perform basic calculations, work well in a team setting, and be willing to work diligently to learn new skills.
