Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
  • Completion of at least two design courses (e.g., concrete, steel, wood, or masonry) by the start of the internship.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in coursework.
  • Basic knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals (e.g., free body diagrams, P/V/M diagrams).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical and organizational abilities, with an ability to work collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Previous internship experience in a structural or civil engineering role.
  • Completed coursework in Structural Statics and Dynamics, Steel Design, Concrete Design, Wood Design, and Seismic Analysis and Design.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a diverse range of projects in structural engineering.
  • Assist in construction administration services, including attending site visits.
  • Engage in field inspections and perform necessary evaluations.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to project work.
