About The Position

AtkinsRéal is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Denver, Colorado. Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in structural design.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering.
  • M.S. or graduate level technical coursework is a plus.
  • Candidate must have a valid US driver's license.
  • Results-oriented, with good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capability of efficiently working simultaneously on multiple projects.
  • Positive perspective with the ability to engender a team attitude amongst colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills allowing for effective communication in multidisciplinary project teams.

Nice To Haves

  • RISA or Tekla Tedds software experience is a plus.
  • Revit experience is a plus.
  • Successful completion of the Engineer-In-Training Exam by NCEES, or the ability to obtain it within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering calculations under the supervision of senior structural engineers.
  • Assist Senior Engineers in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
  • Participate on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with specifications; assist in recordkeeping and in generating progress reports; observe construction procedures and collect samples for quality control testing.
  • Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
