About The Position

RIZZO is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to perform structural analysis and design for various types of civil structures for our Lake Mary, FL office.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Minimum 7 - 10 years practical experience in structural analysis and design.
• Proficient with SAP2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, and AutoCAD.
• E.I.T required, PE License is a plus.
• Willing to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various types of civil structures.
• Conduct linear/non-linear structural analysis including pushover analysis, moving loads analysis, contact/interaction analysis, seismic time history analysis, seismic response spectrum analysis, harmonic response & random vibration analysis, and staged construction.
• Design steel, reinforced concrete, and precast concrete structures including buildings, building foundations, nuclear and fossil fuel power plants, dams, culverts, industrial facilities, and bridges.
• Apply working knowledge of various design codes such as ACI 318, ACI 349, AISC 360, AISC 341, ASCE 7, ASCE 4, ASCE 43 Standards, IBC and UBC Building Codes, AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, and IEEE standards.
• Utilize various software tools including SAP2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, GT-Strudl, AUTOCAD, ANSYS, Mathcad, Matlab, Revit Structures, and Mathematica.
