Toll Architecture, a national full-service Toll Brothers company, seeks a Structural Engineer for our office located in Orlando, Florida. Toll Architecture creates award-winning designs for luxury home communities in 24 states and 50 markets throughout the country. Responsibilities
- Design the structural components of residential wood structures (and masonry structures in FL)
- Produce repair details and letters with minimal to no supervision
- Mentor Structural EIT's and verify structural integrity of their work
- Seal structural plans, details, and repairs as needed
- Collaborate with architectural staff and other Toll Brothers' departments (i.e. TIS, Purchasing, Operations, etc.)
- Engineering calculations
- Prepare repair details/letters
- Review design/calculations of Structural EIT's
- Site visits/Meeting with building officials
- Code Research
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- PE License
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience
- Residential wood design and construction
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials and applicable building codes and design principles
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal or no supervision
