Toll Architecture, a national full-service Toll Brothers company, seeks a Structural Engineer for our office located in Orlando, Florida. Toll Architecture creates award-winning designs for luxury home communities in 24 states and 50 markets throughout the country. Responsibilities

  • Design the structural components of residential wood structures (and masonry structures in FL)
  • Produce repair details and letters with minimal to no supervision
  • Mentor Structural EIT's and verify structural integrity of their work
  • Seal structural plans, details, and repairs as needed
  • Collaborate with architectural staff and other Toll Brothers' departments (i.e. TIS, Purchasing, Operations, etc.)
  • Engineering calculations
  • Prepare repair details/letters
  • Review design/calculations of Structural EIT's
  • Site visits/Meeting with building officials
  • Code Research
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • PE License
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience
  • Residential wood design and construction
  • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials and applicable building codes and design principles
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal or no supervision
