Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for our Muscatine, IA office.

Requirements

Experience in the design of buildings and other structures in accordance with design codes and standards published by ICC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
Experience as structural lead on multiple concurrent large projects.
Proficient in concrete and structural steel design.
Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members.
Software: RISA or STAADPro, Mathcad, LPILE (optional)
PE License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
4-8 years of relevant structural experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience with government design standards such as Unified Facilities Criteria.
International travel capabilities.
Power generation experience.
Experience in Masonry, CFS, or Wood Design.

Responsibilities

Determining client requirements and developing reports, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.
Visiting construction sites to monitor progress.
Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and design schedules for projects.
Evaluating the need for design changes and communicating appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients.
Serving as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinating technical efforts within discipline areas.
Consulting with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions.
Compensated overtime to fit project need and team workload.
