Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for our Muscatine, IA office.

Requirements

  • Experience in the design of buildings and other structures in accordance with design codes and standards published by ICC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
  • Experience as structural lead on multiple concurrent large projects.
  • Proficient in concrete and structural steel design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members.
  • Software: RISA or STAADPro, Mathcad, LPILE (optional)
  • PE License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • 4-8 years of relevant structural experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government design standards such as Unified Facilities Criteria.
  • International travel capabilities.
  • Power generation experience.
  • Experience in Masonry, CFS, or Wood Design.

Responsibilities

  • Determining client requirements and developing reports, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.
  • Visiting construction sites to monitor progress.
  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and design schedules for projects.
  • Evaluating the need for design changes and communicating appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients.
  • Serving as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinating technical efforts within discipline areas.
  • Consulting with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions.
  • Compensated overtime to fit project need and team workload.
