About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to support a regulated power generation facility. This role focuses on structural engineering for plant modifications, inspections, and resolution of technical issues, with a mix of office-based work and hands-on field activities. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (or equivalent)
8 years of hands-on structural engineering experience
Working knowledge of AISC and ACI codes
Ability to work independently and manage multiple engineering tasks with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work extended hours, shift schedules and perform on-call duties when necessary
Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Nice To Haves

FE or Professional Engineer (PE) certification
Experience in power generation, nuclear, oil & gas, steel, concrete, refining, or other highly regulated industrial environments
Prior experience supporting inspections, plant modifications, or industrial facilities

Responsibilities

Perform and maintain civil and structural analyses to support plant operations and maintenance
Develop engineering change packages, including design drawings, calculations, specifications, and supporting documentation
Conduct field walkdowns and structural inspections in an industrial environment
Support troubleshooting and corrective action efforts for structural and plant-related issues
Prepare technical reports and present engineering findings to internal stakeholders
Ensure design changes comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
Participate in problem-solving teams and support emergency response activities as required
