About The Position

Develop structural plans and designs, and drawings for other construction personnel to follow. Oversee the building and creation of structures and frames. Analyze and make changes to ongoing projects as they move onward to ensure the safety of structures being built. Work in line with local building codes, considering flooding, fire safety measures, and other variables such as wind tunnels and surface quality. Inspect and analyze existing buildings to determine their safety or viability to be made safe again. Make recommendations to close or demolish unsafe buildings if deemed unsafe to habitation or a risk to the local community. Make plans to renovate listed buildings that may need original restoration work. Work in line with health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experienced in managing and executing design and engineering projects for industrial buildings, manufacturing facilities, and chemical plants with steel and concrete structures
  • Bachelors degree or above in Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated at least 3 years experience in a structural engineering role .
  • Ability to use : SAP 2000, ETABS, Math CAD, RISA 3D, STAAD.
  • Strong ability in drawing, designing, and creating diagrams, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety guidelines
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize own time and workload.
