About The Position

Structural Engineers bring the stability and foundation to Primus projects. This is predominantly a design role, but there are elements of project management. In addition to producing accurate and timely technical designs in a traditional plan and spec format, designers are expected to work in a team approach to deliver solutions.

Requirements

BS in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
Highly self-motivated, team and detail oriented
Ability to meet schedules and work closely with construction management team
Ability to prioritize work on multiple projects at once
2+ years analysis, design, and document prep of steel building structures
Familiarity with Revit Structure

Nice To Haves

EIT or PE desired, but not required

Responsibilities

Work individually or on a team
Layout, analysis, design of framing and foundation systems
Structural steel, concrete tilt-up, multiple foundation systems, masonry
Lateral Wind and Seismic analysis and Design
Coordinate multiple discipline documents
Direct Revit/Bim Coordinator in creating Revit Model & construction documents.
Assist in preparing structural Revit Models and create construction documents
Construction admin including shop drawing review and site visits
Conceptualize and document project in preliminary drawings and outline specifications
Collaborate with the design and construction management team to select and steer differing project scope ideas and communicate probable impacts for decision-making
Participate in final proposal preparation as necessary
Perform engineering calculations.
Direct and assist in preparation of Construction Documents packages
Coordinate with all members of design team
Identify early and advise team of scope creep
Answer field requests for information
Collaborate in the Value Engineering process
Review mechanical submittals for compliance
Attend periodic field reviews and meetings
Prepare final record documentation
