Tectonic is seeking a Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to contribute to the planning, design, and inspection of various structural engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of structural engineering principles, bridge design, and a passion for transportation infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to advance their career in the A/E/C industry while working alongside experienced professionals in the field.

  • Perform detailed structural analysis and design for a variety of structural engineering projects, including bridges
  • Prepare design calculations, construction documents, and specifications
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, schedules, and project proposals
  • Participate in site investigations, inspections, and condition assessments of existing bridges
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, feasibility studies, and design reviews
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams (geotechnical, environmental, etc.) to complete complex projects
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and guidelines
  • All related duties as required
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
  • Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering; bridge design experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software
  • Strong knowledge of materials, load analysis, and design principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits and inspections
