AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Bridge and Civil Design Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Houston, TX. AtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization. For over 50 years, we’ve partnered with public and private clients across the U.S. to deliver infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture, and program management.   • Assist in the planning, design, and production of bridge and civil engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Support project teams with data collection, analysis, and preparation of design documents, cost estimates, and specifications.
  • Participate in field observations and construction support activities, including shop drawing reviews, progress documentation, and quality control tasks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate design alternatives, develop innovative solutions, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience in structural or civil engineering (internship or co-op experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations and support preparation of technical reports.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
