About The Position
Our Nuclear Programs is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy and commercial nuclear companies, delivering safe and innovative solutions for complex nuclear cleanup, production, and power generation sites. Services include engineering, construction management, consulting, program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, and nuclear operations. We are seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer to contribute to the design process by assisting in the development of design calculations, drawings, and construction specifications for structures made of steel, concrete, and masonry. This role supports the Oak Ridge, TN office, offering opportunities to engage in new design challenges, expand career skills, and contribute to life-changing infrastructure across the United States.
Requirements
- Sole US citizenship required
- B.S. in Structural/Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school
- 0-3+ years of post-education experience
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certificate obtained or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
- Ability to follow and implement established quality procedures and ensure that all work accomplished is procedurally compliant
- Competence using Microsoft Office software
- Reside within commutable distance of our Oak Ridge, TN office
- Ability to learn new software as necessary for project success
- Valid driver's license is required
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
- Must put forward professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard for the employee or others
- Must take and pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation software
