About The Position

Professional Project Services Inc. has an upcoming opportunity for a Structural Engineer IV (Direct Hire) position at our office in Albuquerque, NM. Please submit resumes via the web page link below. Requirements

  • Experience as a structural engineer as demonstrated by 10+ years of progressive design and developmental projects with facility design experience.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • A Master's Degree in Engineering is a plus.
  • Must have an EIT License. If candidate has an EIT License please provide State License number on resume or attach a copy of registration.
  • Professional Engineer preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IBC and ASCE codes.
  • Working knowledge of Structural modeling programs (STADD, GT Strudl, etc.) a plus.
  • Possess working knowledge of computers and software such as AutoCAD and/or Microstation, Microsoft Office Suite and software used for specific technical applications within the department (MathCad or similar).
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of Structural modeling programs (STADD, GT Strudl, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, applies standard Engineering principles to accomplish tasks.
  • Exhibits working knowledge of applicable codes.
  • Works within prescribed budgets and schedules.
  • Performs routine, and some non-routine and complicated engineering designs and calculations in accordance with established standards.
  • Assists in preparing and coordinating Engineering reports, studies, calculations, etc. as required.
  • Participates in conferences with client to establish project objectives and resolve design problems.
  • Checks and approves internal and/or vendor drawings.
  • Demonstrates ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Typical structural projects may include structural steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and cold formed steel design.
