Requirements
- Actively enrolled in an accredited civil or structural engineering program.
- A basic understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards.
- Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills.
- Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Passion for steel and concrete design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction.
- American Citizenship/Legally able to work in the United States of America.
Nice To Haves
- Software skills with any of the following are a plus: Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and review structural components and systems for various projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop innovative solutions.
- Additional responsibilities include calculation development, steel shop drawing reviews, submittal preparation, and responding to RFIs.
- Utilize analysis software programs such as Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection.
- Review 3-D BIM models to aid in building design, connection design and shop drawing reviews.
