Requirements

Education : B.S. in Civil Engineering (required); M.S. preferred.
License : Registered Professional Engineer in Florida (required).
Experience : 10+ years in structural engineering; federal project experience preferred.
Software Proficiency : Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, RAM, Mathcad, Enercalc, Microsoft Office.
Technical Knowledge : Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Project Management : Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Leadership : Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Collaboration : Collaborative and client-focused mindset.
Standards Familiarity : Familiarity with UFC and Whole Building Design Guide standards.

Nice To Haves

Certifications : LEED AP BD+C is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform Structural Analysis and Design : Utilize applicable codes and standards to conduct structural analysis and design.
Develop Technical Documents : Create layouts, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Lead Design Phases : Lead or support schematic and conceptual design phases.
Review and Coordinate : Review shop drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
Project Leadership : Serve as lead or project engineer on assigned projects.
Supervise Team Members : Supervise and guide Designers/Drafters as needed.
Conduct Field Visits : Verify site conditions and measurements through field visits.
Use Engineering Software : Employ software such as AutoCAD, Revit, RAM, etc., to produce design documents.
Client Interaction : Participate in client meetings, proposals, and business development.
Coordinate with Construction Teams : Work closely with construction teams on design-build projects.
Prepare Technical Documentation : Organize and prepare technical documentation.
