This position is part of the Facilities projects team responsible for design, bid & award, construction, commissioning, LCAM, and close-out for various infrastructure projects. This role participates in following activities: Conducting studies, assessing risk, developing options and producing High Level Feasibility Estimates (HLFEs). Development of project plans to include project justification, scope, deliverables, risks, budget, and schedule. collaboration with design agents, technical experts and other stakeholder on design and project execution plan review of designs for adherence to performance goals and constructibility objectives ensuring safety of team members, shipyard employees and contractors in the implementation of projects. ensuring that project comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. working with suppliers to implement project work in a safe and high quality manner. ensuring quality and accuracy of contractor deliverables, to include designs and technical specifications. financial aspects of the project to include, budgeting, progressing, and contractor payment approval. schedule adherence and critical path management. Knowledge of electrical systems as it pertains to facility infrastructure design and construction

  • 6 Months with Bachelors in Science- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelors Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
