About The Position

Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. is an established MBE/DBE firm providing full spectrum civil engineering and related services in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are searching for a Structural Engineer. In this important role, you will provide structural expertise on project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction. Schedule: Full Time – 40 hours/week. We are proud of our ability to offer flexibility to provide a better work life balance. You will be able to work fully remotely or in a hybrid arrangement and take advantage of our flextime policy. Salary Range: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Base pay range $60K – $75K, plus incentive compensation.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural Civil Engineering, or related engineering program from an ABET accredited curriculum.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience.
Valid Driver’s License
Experience in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, wood, CFMF, and foundations
Knowledge of building codes and design standards (IBC, ACI, ASCE, and AISC).
Familiarity with common structural engineering software including RAM Structural System, Enercalc, REVIT and AutoCAD.
Has the legal right to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering, a plus.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania a plus.

Responsibilities

Executes all aspects of structural engineering design, documentation and construction administration.
Preparation of technical reports.
Performs field surveys.
Communicates openly and frequently with clients during the course of a project to ensure that all issues are addressed efficiently to the client’s satisfaction.
Stays abreast of new engineering trends and techniques.
Participates in professional organization(s) in area of expertise and/or client focus.
Maintains professional licensure in the states required by the company.
Assists in the marketing of N&W’s services as well as the preparation of engineering project proposals.
