Our Building Design Group offers comprehensive structural engineering for commercial and multifamily residential spaces. Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
- EIT certification is a must.
- 1-2 years of relevant structural engineering design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood).
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices specific to high-seismic regions.
- Technical exposure in industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel).
Nice To Haves
- Revit experience including modeling and producing construction drawings is plus.
Responsibilities
- Get hands-on experience with technical design of buildings projects
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously including budgeting, scheduling, and client management & communication
- Attend project sites and client meetings
- Collaborate with teams of engineers and architects to complete project deliverables
- Coordinate design work with other engineering and architectural disciplines
- Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product
- Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as Revit, ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel, SteelSmart, and Simpson CFS Designer
- Increase your knowledge of local codes and industry standards
- Assist with budget estimates and write-ups for proposals
