Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • EIT certification is a must.
  • 1-2 years of relevant structural engineering design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood).
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices specific to high-seismic regions.
  • Technical exposure in industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Revit experience including modeling and producing construction drawings is plus.

Responsibilities

  • hands-on experience with technical design of buildings projects
  • oversee multiple projects simultaneously including budgeting, scheduling, and client management & communication
  • attend project sites and client meetings
  • Collaborate with teams of engineers and architects to complete project deliverables
  • Coordinate design work with other engineering and architectural disciplines
  • Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product
  • Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as Revit, ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel, SteelSmart, and Simpson CFS Designer
  • Increase your knowledge of local codes and industry standards
  • Assist with budget estimates and write-ups for proposals
