About The Position

Snyder & Associates, Inc. is a recognized leader in civil and structural engineering, focused on meeting client needs and high standards of quality. In response to increasing client demand, we are excited to announce a new opportunity in our St. Joseph, MO office. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned structures professional to grow client relationships and devlop projects from design through construction. This role will be focusing on delivering client solutions and will take a hands-on role in the design and spec development of bridge structure projects primarily located in Missouri where o ur clients are located and include both public and private entities. Assignments will involve assisting in the analysis, conceptualization, design and construction of projects involving bridge structures. The successful candidate can expect to have regular interaction with clients and other consultants including architects and civil engineers.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Structures emphasis
• 5 or more years experience in design of bridge structure projects in the United States
• Leadership / project management skills a plus
• Strong history with successful project performance skills
• Experience must illustrate progressive growth in skills development, responsibilities in project assignments
• Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as this position interacts with individuals of diverse backgrounds: non-technical clients, architects, design technicians, civil engineers, the general public, developers, administrators, municipal leaders and staff.
• Must be a proven problem solver, team-oriented and solid individual contributor
• Demonstrated ability to keep projects on scope, on budget and on time

Nice To Haves

• PE designation preferred but not required
