Our New England Structures team is looking for a Structural Engineer to work on complex transportation projects across the VHB footprint. The position is hybrid with a flexible location. Responsibilities include working on major bridge and other complex transportation projects, providing technical support and mentorship to junior structural engineering staff, performing oversight of engineering design for bridges and other transportation infrastructure, preparing construction documents, and performing quality reviews of project construction documents and engineering reports.

  • Work on major bridge and other complex transportation projects
  • Provide technical support/mentorship to junior structural engineering staff
  • Perform oversight of engineering design for bridges and other transportation infrastructure
  • Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, estimates and calculations
  • Perform quality reviews of project construction documents, engineering reports, etc.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Bridge/Transportation projects in New England
  • B.S. Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) (1-2 years may be substituted for a master's degree)
  • PE license required
  • Master's degree a plus
  • Familiarity with bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete) and seismic analysis
  • Familiarity with structural engineering software (AASHTOware, LARSA 4D, MDX, midas Bridge, Mathcad, etc.)
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation experience
