We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Dynamics Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX . If selected you will: Perform finite element model checks, dynamic model reductions, coupled loads analysis, and interpret results Perform dynamic analyses using commercial and in-house codes, write new simulation scripts and code, typically with Python, as needed Perform vibroacoustic analysis on finite element models in preparation for acoustic and random vibration tests Perform modal analysis on finite element models in preparation for modal tests Identify critical modes for a component or integrated system Review and process modal and structural data (analytical and test) Develop and/or review test plans and procedures, documenting test results Perform signal processing on analytical and/or test data Perform model correlation by adjusting analytical models based on test data to better align the model with actual hardware Perform other duties as required Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels.
